Information for SIPO clients
From January 1, 2026, the SIPO service will no longer be exempt from VAT. The reason for this is an amendment to Act No. 235/2004 Coll., on value added tax. The prices of the service will therefore be increased by VAT at a rate of 21%.

10.12.2025Balíkovna parcels will be held for you at the post office until Christmas
Česká pošta is responding to the short storage times of delivery boxes and their limited capacity. All Balíkovna* shipments stored from December 11, 2025, at a brick-and-mortar branch or Partner post office will wait for you until at least December 23, 2025. This step will increase customer comfort and ensure that every Christmas package reaches its recipient. The measure applies to Czech Post branches and Partner post offices, but not to Balíkovna Partner branches.

09.12.2025Statement by Česká pošta on the adjustment of fees for cash pension payments from January 1, 2026
From January 2026, the Czech Social Security Administration will pay Czech Post CZK 94 for each pension issued on a delivery round or at a post office counter, compared to the current CZK 78. This change results from an agreement concluded between the CSSA and Czech Post. This fee is deducted directly from the pension amount paid and is paid by the pension recipient if the pension was granted after January 1, 2010. For older pensions, the costs are paid by the Czech Social Security Administration.

Prostějov commemorates its famous native son, poet Jiří Wolker, in an unconventional yet highly symbolic way. On the initiative of its members, the Prostějov Rotary Club purchased and restored a historic mailbox, which – in the spirit of Wolker's work – was painted blue and placed "on the corner of the street," as described by the author himself in his poem. The box found its place on a renovated town house on T. G. Masaryk Square in Prostějov.
05.12.2025Czech Post expands smart mailrooms for health insurance companies Ministry of the Interior
Since the beginning of March this year, it has been possible to submit various types of applications to the Ministry of the Interior's Health Insurance Company, known as ePodání, at five selected branches of the Czech Post. Specifically, these are post offices in Slaný, Holešov, Dvůr Králové nad Labem, Kuřim, and Tišnov. From the beginning of December, the number of branches providing assistance for ZPMV will be expanded by another 15 post offices.

Česká pošta (Czech Post) and the transport company PPL have begun cooperating on parcel delivery. PPL customers can now have their parcels sent to selected Česká pošta branches, which also serve as delivery points for this logistics company. This option is currently available at more than 300 post offices.

Letter mail at the Partner post office in Boží Dar will be stamped from December 1 to 23 this year. This year's stamp was designed by Lucie Šťastná and features a motif of apples with a twig and the inscription BOŽÍ DAR (God's Gift). Every year, there is great interest in writing letters with the Baby Jesus Post Office handstamp. Last year, several hundred kilograms of mail were stamped with this handstamp.
