PPL parcels now available for collection at Czech Post branches

"Testing will continue until around the middle of next year, and if the collaboration is successful, it will be expanded to include parcel delivery and possibly other branches. With this step, Česká pošta is continuing to expand its open infrastructure," says Pavla Blumenschein, director of Česká pošta's branch network.

After handling the digital agenda of the Labor Office, DPD parcel delivery, and the agenda of the Ministry of the Interior's Health Insurance Company, a pilot project with the logistics company PPL is now beginning.

"Czech Post branches are becoming an important point of contact, connecting clients with companies and state institutions. PPL is a major player in the parcel delivery market, and expanding its delivery points to include post offices is a move that will help everyone. Česká pošta, PPL, and especially customers. The slogan PoštaSpojuje (Post Connects) is getting a new piece in its overall mosaic," says Martina Ivanová, director of the management and development of the retail segment at Česká pošta.

PPL has been strategically expanding its network of delivery points and boxes for a long time with the aim of ensuring maximum availability and convenience for recipients of shipments. Thanks to its cooperation with Czechia, recipients can now use almost 9,000 locations throughout the country.

"Our goal is to enable recipients to pick up their shipments flexibly and as conveniently as possible within 10 minutes of their home. That is why we are expanding our network of delivery points to include selected branches of Česká pošta, which now operate as PPL shops. This step increases the density of our network in areas with high demand and gives recipients another option for choosing the pickup point that suits them best," explains Michaela Machovcová, manager of PPL's pickup point network expansion.
