International Insured Parcel
The only service among international parcel consignments that you can use to send valuable items. The service is intended for the general public and businesses for sending gifts, documents, goods, but also money, precious metals and stones, securities, jewelry, and similarly valuable items. The post office is liable for the shipment up to the value declared by the sender (declared value). The service can only be selected if it is possible under foreign conditions.
Information about the movement of your shipment – only to selected countries – is available the day after the shipment is posted. Information can be obtained in two ways:
- Track your shipment in our Track & Trace.
- If you do not have access to the internet, please contact our hotline at 210 123 456.
- This information can be requested no later than one month after shipment.

The post office is liable for damage caused by loss, damage, or reduction in the contents of a shipment up to the declared value.
30 kg (weight is determined to the nearest 10 g at the time of posting)*.
21 × 19 cm
The size and design of the shipment must allow for the attachment of an address label (dimensions 21.5 × 15.5 cm); the smallest permissible dimensions of a shipment that is not rectangular in shape are assessed similarly.
None of the dimensions of the shipment may exceed 200 cm, or the sum of the length and circumference may not exceed 300 cm*.

Method of payment
In cash, by credit card upon submission, or by postage stamps (postage stamps only up to a weight of 10 kg), and additionally for contract customers by cash register receipt, cashless payment for postal services, or bank transfer.
If you wish to pay for the service with postage stamps, do not affix them to the package before posting, but hand them over together with the Insured Parcel.
Submission
- The shipment can be submitted at the post office or to an authorized postal employee.
- The post office will confirm the submission of the shipment to the sender:
- electronically in the case of electronic submission of shipment data via Send Shipment, Electronic Shipping Form, and for contract customers, Online Submission or API interface
- physically in the case of using shipping documents ( Postal slip či Postal form)
- If customs clearance has not been carried out in advance for the parcel, the post office will act as the direct representative of the sender.
- The sender determines how a Standard Parcel should be handled if it cannot be delivered in the country of destination (mark the address label with "Do not return" or "Return to sender" by economy or priority mail).
Packaging requirements
The outer and inner packaging must be appropriate to the nature and weight of the contents, the price, the method and length of transport of the postal item, and the way in which the item will be handled during the provision of the service. What cannot be included in a shipment
A Standard Parcel cannot contain any documents addressed to persons other than the addressee or persons living with the addressee, with the exception of archival materials.
The contents of the shipment must not include items listed in the Postal Conditions of Česká pošta, s.p. – Basic Postal Services (Article 102), in particular items which, due to their nature or packaging, may endanger postal employees or the public or soil or damage other shipments. The contents of the shipment must not include valuables. For more information, see Prohibited Contents.

Economy
The sender may request that the service be provided at a reduced price. In such a case, the item will not be transported to its destination abroad by the fastest means.Priority
In the case of priority mail, priority mail is given priority over other mail within the same service when transporting the mail to its destination abroad. If the sender requests priority service, they shall indicate their request on the address labelDelivery
The foreign post office will only deliver the shipment if the recipient confirms receipt.
The post office in the destination country will handle the shipment according to the sender's instructions. When returning the shipment to the sender, it will include a note stating the reason why it was not delivered.
Claims
Complaints regarding the delivery of a shipment or the failure of the postal service to fulfill another obligation can be filed at any post office within six months of posting. The postal service will only accept complaints if the complainant presents the original proof of posting. For more information, see Claims.
Alternative services
For Contract Customers
The postal service offers contractual customers:
- a simpler method of paying for shipments, either on the basis of a prior written agreement on cashless payment for postal services or via a franking machine;
- electronic data transfer using the Podání Online web application or via the API interface
collection of shipments directly from the sender's premises, again based on a written agreement concluded in advance.
