Volume discounts for letter consignments

Do you send large quantities of letters by post? Start sending them even more cheaply. Take advantage of volume discounts and other bonus benefits that we are introducing for our contractual partners.

What types of volume discounts do we offer?

The discount schedule distinguishes between volume discounts for Senders and Submitters based on annual turnover and fulfillment of submission conditions.

What is the difference between a sender and a submitter?

  • Sender: is a person or company that is the originator of the shipment and is listed on the shipment as the Sender.
  • Submitter: is a person or company that has paid for the postal service and ensures submission on behalf of the Sender. They have a contractual relationship with Czechia Post (they have a written agreement for the submission of shipments).

The Sender may be the same as the Submitter.

Volume discounts for shippers

The volume discount for senders is a transparent volume discount program. It includes a wide range of discount bands and attractive discounts on letter mail. The more you send, the more you save.

Which shipments are eligible for discounts?

  • Ordinary Letter

Note: does not apply to reply mail.

Are there any conditions that must be met?

  • When submitting shipments, it is necessary to have a clearly identifiable sender when providing data for individual shipments in electronic and paper form in advance. Without this information, the submission will not be counted towards volume discounts!
  • For the purposes of calculating the total annual turnover of a specific sender, only submissions that meet the following conditions are taken into account:
    • The address side of shipments is adjusted according to the company's requirements. This means according to the templates that are part of the relevant agreements governing the method of payment for shipments and the relevant product conditions (registered shipment/unregistered shipment).
    • When posting postal items, the company was presented with posting documents indicating the sender and the number and type of postal items posted.
    • The sender details on the postal items do not differ from those on the posting documents.
    • The actual originator of the shipment is listed as the sender in the shipping documents.

When are discounts paid out and how are they calculated?

  • Discounts are paid after the end of the calendar year and after deducting all discounts from the total annual volume of the following items sent by a specific sender during the calendar year:
    • Ordinary Letter

Who benefits from volume discounts?

  • The sender, i.e. the person who paid for the postal service and with whom Česká pošta has concluded a contract for the delivery of shipments, is entitled to a volume discount.
