Postal Data Message
Postal Data Message
Lorem ipsum
- A convenient, reliable, and modern means of communication.
- The electronic equivalent of registered consignment.
- Used for mutual business communication between data mailbox users.
- Can replace personal contact (concluding contracts, reporting changes, or certain actions using an electronic signature) and sending documents by registered mail.
- a verifiable method of communication and delivery (a message is considered delivered as soon as an authorized person logs into the data box or no later than 10 days after the message is delivered).
Advantages of communication via Postal Data Message (PDZ)
-
Verifiability (you can always prove that you sent the document correctly and on time)
Guaranteed delivery (the electronic equivalent of registered mail)
Verified sender identity (unlike regular email, you know exactly who you are communicating with)
Security (PDZ uses the Data Box Information System)
Convenience (you send PDZ directly from your computer)
Time savings (your message arrives faster than registered mail, you don't have to print anything or go anywhere)
Cost savings (you don't pay for an envelope, paper, or printing)
When to use PDZ?
You can use postal data messages to send invoices, reminders, contracts, orders, confirmations, certificates, or anything else for which you need legal proof that you sent the document correctly and on time. Postal data messages can be sent between legal entities, sole traders, and citizens.
A postal data message is
- More cost-effective than registered letter thanks to lower prices
- More reliable than email thanks to guaranteed delivery and verifiability
- More secure than email thanks to a secure data mailbox system
- More convenient than letters thanks to correspondence without envelopes, stamps, or printing
How to activate the service? It is not possible without a data mailbox.
Don't have a data mailbox?
If you do not have a data mailbox set up, contact any branch of the Czech Post Office with Czech POINT service, where they will set up a box for you. Detailed information can be found at www.mojedatovaschranka.cz.
Enabling PDZ reception in the data boxReceiving postal data messages is free of charge. All data mailboxes belonging to natural persons, sole traders, and legal entities are automatically enabled to receive PDZ messages. Only natural persons can deactivate PDZ reception; other entities do not have this option. |

Activation of Postal Data Message sending
You can send postal data messages on a contractual basis or without obligation using the data mailbox credit system. Sending messages is cheaper than registered consignment.
Sending Postal Data Messages under contract
This option is intended exclusively for users of data mailboxes with an ID number. If you are a registered user of PoštaOnline, log in to your account and select the "Postal Data Message" service. After entering your data mailbox ID number, fill out the registration form to order the service. After filling in the required information, we will send a data message with a verification PIN code to your data mailbox. The PIN code is used to complete the order and activate the service. Enter the PIN code you received in the appropriate field in the activation form. After selecting the billing method and verifying the PIN code, we will activate the sending of Postal Data Messages under the contract.
If you are not a registered user of PoštaOnline and do not intend to register, you can activate the Postal Data Message service even as an unregistered user. Activate the service here; the activation procedure is similar to that for registered PoštaOnline users.
Sending Postal Data Messages for credit
This option is intended for all data mailbox users. If you just want to try sending Postal Data Messages, or if you only send Postal Data Messages occasionally, top up your credit in your data mailbox. This will allow you to send Postal Data Messages to all mailboxes that have Postal Data Message reception enabled.
If you have both forms of Postal Data Messages active, you can choose before sending each individual Postal Data Message whether it should be paid for as invoiced or as credit.
Payment method and price list
When sending Postal Data Messages under contract, invoicing is performed once a month. We will send you the tax document electronically to your data box. If you do not send any Postal Data Messages in a given month, no invoicing will be performed and you will not pay anything.
When sending Postal Data Messages for credit, the amount is deducted from your credit immediately after sending the message.

Response and Subsidized Data Messages
What is a Response Data Message (ODZ)?
- Give your partners the opportunity to reply to your Postal Data Message at no cost to them.
- This is similar to a reply letter. The recipient can reply to the Reply Data Message free of charge; the message is paid for by the sender of the original message.
- The option to send a reply free of charge is limited to 90 days from delivery to the recipient's data box. If the recipient does not reply within 90 days, the sender of the original message does not pay for the reply.
- Suitable for conducting surveys or communicating with business partners.
What is a Subsidized Data Message (DDZ)?
- If you send Postal Data Messages under contract, you can pay for sending messages from other data mailboxes as well.
- Enter one or more data mailboxes for which all Postal Data Messages sent from the subsidized data mailbox are to be paid. You can activate the service in the data mailbox settings.
- For a subsidized data box, you can set the subsidy validity date (service expiration) and the maximum number of subsidized PDZs.
- Suitable, for example, for companies owned by the same owner.
