International EMS
Express delivery abroad. You can use the EXPRESS MAIL SERVICE to more than 120 countries around the world. You can be sure that your documents and goods will be transported in the fastest possible way. The service is intended for the general public and businesses for the express delivery of current communications and personal correspondence, as well as other items abroad, such as gifts, documents, or goods. The consignment is transported abroad in the fastest possible way, and the post office guarantees the delivery time after arrival in the destination country.
Information about the movement of your consignment – only to selected countries – is available the day after the shipment is posted. Information can be obtained in two ways:
- Track your shipment in our Track & Trace.
- If you do not have access to the internet, please contact our hotline at 210 123 456.
- This information can be requested no later than one month after shipment
Benefits of the service
- Delivery – EMS consignment can be handed in at all post offices. In selected locations, the post office can also collect shipments directly from your home or business premises, either on the basis of a one-off request or an agreement on regular EMS consignment .
- Delivery – the post office will ensure that EMS consignment are sent to their destination country as quickly as possible and delivered there within the time specified by the destination country.
- Service diversity – you can send anything from envelopes measuring 16.2 × 22.9 cm to large parcels.

The post office is liable for damage caused by loss, damage, or reduction in the contents of the shipment.
It shall pay the actual damage up to the amount of:
- CZK 3,934 if the contents of the shipment were goods, or
- CZK 908 if the contents of the shipment were documents.
30 kg, unless otherwise specified in the International Conditions.
Upon submission, the weight is determined with an accuracy of 10 g.
16.2 × 22.9 cm (C5 format)
None of the dimensions of the shipment may exceed 150 cm, and the sum of the length and the largest circumference measured in a direction other than the length may not exceed 300 cm.

Method of payment
In cash, by credit card upon delivery, and additionally for contract customers by cashless payment for postal services or on the basis of an invoice.
Submission
- The post office will confirm the submission of the shipment to the sender:
- electronically in the case of electronic submission of shipment data via Send Shipment, Electronic Shipping Form, and for contract customers, Online Submission or API interface
- physically in the case of using shipping documents ( Postal slip či Postal form)
- For shipments addressed outside the EU, you must complete the customs declaration, which is part of the address label. If the contents of the shipment are subject to customs control in the country of destination, attach the completed customs declaration and any other documents required by Czech or foreign customs authorities. However, you also have the option of sending the shipment without prior customs clearance. In this case, you authorize Česká pošta to represent you in customs proceedings. However, if the shipment contains goods of a commercial nature, it must be cleared through customs before shipment.
Packaging requirements
The outer and inner packaging must be appropriate to the nature and weight of the contents, the price, the method and length of transport of the postal item, and the way in which the item will be handled during the provision of the service.

What cannot be included in a shipment
A Standard Parcel cannot contain any documents addressed to persons other than the addressee or persons living with the addressee, with the exception of archival materials.
The contents of the shipment must not include items listed in the Postal Conditions of Česká pošta, s.p. – Basic Postal Services (Article 102), in particular items which, due to their nature or packaging, may endanger postal employees or the public or soil or damage other shipments. The contents of the shipment must not include valuables. For more information, see Prohibited Contents.

Delivery
The post office will send the shipment abroad by the fastest possible means and ensure that the foreign post office delivers the shipment upon arrival in the destination country by the fastest possible means, within the time specified by the destination country in the Postal Conditions – Foreign Conditions.
The foreign postal service will deliver the shipment only on condition that the addressee confirms its receipt.
If the foreign postal service is unable to deliver the postal shipment, the post office will return it to the sender and note on the shipment the reason why it was not delivered.
Claims
Complaints regarding delivery of a shipment or failure to fulfill other postal obligations can be filed at any post office. The post office will only accept complaints if the complainant submits the original proof of posting (address label). For more information, see Claims.
Further information regarding liability for shipments, including the period during which the post office will accept complaints (unless otherwise stated, the period is 6 months), which applies separately to each country of destination, is contained in the Postal Conditions – International Conditions.
Alternative services
For contract customers
The postal service offers contractual customers:
- a simpler method of paying for shipments, either on the basis of a prior written agreement on cashless payment for postal services or via a payment machine;
- electronic data transfer using the Podání Online web application or via the API interface
collection of shipments directly from the sender's premises, again based on a written agreement concluded in advance.
