EXPRESS MAIL SERVICE provides fast transport of documents and goods throughout the Czech Republic. You can now collect most parcels without cash on delivery from the delivery person contactlessly, thanks to a code sent by SMS or email.
Service description
EXPRESS MAIL SERVICE provides fast transport of documents and goods throughout the Czech Republic up to size L (longest side up to 100 cm). EMS is a service with guaranteed delivery on the next working day after posting.
EMS shipments can contain items worth up to CZK 100,000. Česká pošta is liable for EMS shipments up to the agreed liability limit, i.e. the declared value.

- Guaranteed delivery is the next business day by 2 p.m. if the shipment is submitted by the cut-off time (information about cut-off times can be found in the details for for given facility )*.
- If the sender chooses the additional Notification service when posting the shipment, we will inform the recipient free of charge about the delivery of the parcel via SMS or e-mail on the day of posting and send them a code for contactless delivery of the parcel to the delivery person.

- A declared value of up to CZK 50,000 is included in the price of the service.
* The cut-off time, i.e., the time by which the shipment must be submitted to a specific post office at the latest in order to be delivered the following business day. This time varies from branch to branch, so we recommend checking the post office locator .

None of the dimensions of the shipment may exceed 100 cm. The sum of the length, width, and height may not exceed 300 cm. Non-rectangular shipments are assessed similarly.

Method of payment
In cash or by card upon submission.
Submission
- You can send parcels at any post office.
- If you are sending a parcel, simply hand in the packaged shipment at the post office together with a correctly completed postal receipt, either in electronic or paper form. If you want the recipient to be notified electronically in advance of the arrival of the parcel, simply fill in the recipient's mobile phone number or email address on the postage slip (postage slip).
- The post office will confirm the submission of the shipment to the sender in a postage receipt. This takes the form of a postage slip or postage sheet.
- The sender fills in the address label, including the declared value.
TIP! Fill in the posting details online in the Send a Shipment application, get a discount, and print out the address label to stick on the package. This saves you from having to write the address by hand.
Delivery
- If the sender of the shipment has provided your contact details, we will notify you electronically in advance of the delivery of your package.
- For most shipments, we will send you a code for contactless pickup, which can also be easily picked up by a third party.
- If you are not at home at the time of delivery, we will store your shipment at the nearest post office.
