Legalisation of signatures

When verifying signatures, or legalizing a signature, we verify that the signature on the document is yours – either you sign it in front of us, or you acknowledge the signature as your own. We typically verify signatures on contracts or powers of attorney.

Legalisation does not confirm the accuracy or truthfulness of the information contained in the document, nor its compliance with legal regulations.

What is legalisation used for?

  • It confirms that the signature on the document is indeed the signature of the person who signed the document. In other words, it confirms the authenticity of the signature of the person who signed the document.
  • It is used for legal and commercial documents, powers of attorney, contracts, and other official documents.
  • It allows you to submit a document with a certified signature to authorities, courts, or business partners.

What you gain from legalisation?

  • Officially certified signature with stamp and endorsement.
  • Document recognized by authorities and institutions as confirmation of the authenticity of the signature.

Who can perform the procedure and what is required for it

  • Any applicant – natural or legal person.
  • You will need proof of identity and a document on which your signature can be verified.

Where can legalisation be performed?

At selected post offices with Czech POINT service.
