Recruitment of employees
Recruitment of employees for Česká pošta, s.p. (Czech Post)
For the purposes of recruiting employees and conducting selection procedures, ČP processes the personal data of job applicants to the extent that such data was requested during the selection procedure and subsequently provided by the applicant (usually identification and contact details), including other data provided by the applicant during the selection procedure (in particular their CV), and on the basis of the legal title, which is the adoption of measures prior to the conclusion of an employment contract (or, where applicable, an agreement to perform work or an agreement on work activity).
The personal data of unsuccessful job applicants is stored for a maximum of 6 months, unless the applicant has consented to a longer storage period for the purpose of being contacted with a possible future job offer. . The selection process includes a specialized form with the requirements of the GDPR, according to which the applicant is asked to consent to the processing of the data provided for the purposes of the selection process beyond the above-mentioned period of 6 months, for a maximum period of 5 years from the granting of this consent. The purpose of such processing of personal data is to include the job applicant in the database of job applicants. On this basis, ČP can then inform applicants about vacancies according to their qualifications for the vacant position.
During the recruitment process, ČP may use automated decision-making when processing applicants' personal data, exclusively in connection with assessing whether the applicant meets the requirements that are absolutely necessary for the performance of the job (e.g., possession of a driver's license for the position of motorized delivery person). In other cases, automated decision-making does not occur. Automated decision-making is carried out in the form of (a process of) logical and/or algorithmic operations. The purpose (meaning) of automated decision-making is to verify whether the applicant meets the necessary requirements for the performance of the given job position. The result of automated decision-making is a decision on the applicant's further participation in the selection process.
ČP may also process the personal data of job applicants (or future employees) for the purpose of conducting employee surveys (the aim of employee surveys is to improve onboarding processes, map job applicants' experiences with the selection process, guide new employees through the adaptation period, continuously verify employee satisfaction and needs, etc.), to the extent of identification and contact details, IP addresses, or other data provided by the job applicant as part of the employee survey. The legal basis for such processing is the legitimate interest of ČP. The retention period for personal data is 25 months. An objection may be lodged against this processing.
If ČP uses contractual processors in the course of the tender procedure, they are listed here.
Job applicants can exercise their rights under the GDPR in the same way as customers, as described in the tab "Customer rights and form for submitting a request for the processing of personal data."
