Social responsibility

We support equal opportunities, fair remuneration, and diversity. We create conditions for employing people with disabilities and for returning from maternity or parental leave. We strive to balance private and professional life. We care about the health and safety of our employees.

We provide our employees with opportunities for professional development. We cooperate with schools and universities in the professional training of current and future employees.

Diversity Charter

In 2019, Česká pošta became a signatory to the Diversity Charter. By signing the Diversity Charter, the Czech Republic commits to creating an environment that is open to everyone regardless of gender, race, skin color, nationality, ethnic origin, religion, worldview, health status, age, or sexual orientation.

In accordance with the Diversity Charter, we commit to:

  1. Develop a culture based on mutual respect and appreciation of individual talent. The idea of supporting diversity is championed by the organization's management. We intend to create conditions in which everyone respects and follows these values. We will continue to develop strategies and processes with regard to the principles of diversity, which we see as a source of innovation and strategic development.
  1. Support and implement measures that enable all employees to fully utilize their talents and abilities while respecting the quality of their personal lives. We recognize the uniqueness of each individual and strive to align their potential with established performance standards.
  1. Implement human resources management policies that promote diversity, with an emphasis on fair recruitment and selection of employees, access to training, career growth, evaluation, and remuneration, and personal and family circumstances.
  1. Actively promote the implementation/principles of the Diversity Charter in our internal and external communications.

Charter against domestic violence

In 2024, the Czech Post joined the Charter Against Domestic Violence. For victims of domestic violence, the workplace may be the only safe place. It is here that the problem can be detected in time and victims can be helped to seek professional help. Although in many cases it is not only women who are victims of domestic violence, statistics show that one in five women has experienced physical or sexual violence at some point in her life. Domestic violence has serious consequences for the health of victims, both physical and mental. That is why it is important to be aware of these issues, to be attentive, and to offer help when necessary. The Bright Sky app for addressing domestic violence is a very effective tool. The Charter Against Domestic Violence was created as a joint initiative of Vodafone, IKEA, and the ROSA Women's Center, under the auspices of the Office for Gender Equality of the Government Office and the Government Commissioner for Human Rights.

Employee remuneration

Employee remuneration is governed by the employer's internal regulations. Remuneration is based on a continuously updated system of standard positions. Salaries are determined based on the complexity, responsibility, and difficulty of the work, the difficulty of working conditions, etc. An important motivational factor in the remuneration system is the evaluation of work performance, which is managed in the form of a variable salary component.

The average monthly wage at ČP for 2024 was CZK 33,250, which represents an increase of CZK 1,581, or 5.0%, compared to the previous year. The increase was influenced by the implementation of an average 10% increase in tariff wages from September 1, 2024, in accordance with the results of negotiations with trade unions.

Benefits

In addition to wages, the employer provided its employees with employee benefits, which amounted to an annual average of approximately CZK 30,000 per employee. These mainly included contributions to meals, pension savings, supplementary pension savings, long-term investment programs, and life insurance, individual employee recreation, children's camps, etc. In addition, it allowed its employees to take one week of vacation in excess of the Labor Code. The employer also facilitates enrollment in the MultiSport and T-Mobile programs.

Equal opportunities at Czech Post

In 2024, Česká pošta employed 660 people (including 479 women) with disabilities. Another 489 people with disabilities worked on the basis of agreements on work performed outside of employment. Companies employing people with disabilities are approached when purchasing products and services. In recruitment, we use a special pictogram for positions that are suitable for people with disabilities, which helps applicants filter out positions that are suitable for them. We also cooperate with the non-profit organization Rytmus, which supports people with disabilities in actively integrating into not only working life.

Czech Post Foundation

Česká pošta is aware of its responsibility towards its employees, clients, and the environment in which it operates. Therefore, as part of its corporate social responsibility strategy, it established a corporate foundation on December 22, 2016. The main mission of the Česká pošta Foundation is to help people who really need help. It also supports specific projects focused on health and improving the quality of human life..
