International Insured Letter
With the International Insured Letter service, your international consignment with documents will be sent to recipients in special packaging and under increased security measures.
Benefits of the service
- At all post offices – Valuable items abroad (applies to selected countries) can be posted at all post offices or with authorized postal workers.
- Item valuation – before posting, state the value of the item (declared value) on the item, but this amount may only reach the maximum amount for the country of destination.
- Peace of mind – the post office is liable for damage caused by loss, damage, or depletion of the contents of a valuable shipment, up to the declared value.

Method of payment
Submission

Items can be posted at the post office or with an authorized postal worker.

The sender fills in the pre-printed Postage Slip, Postage Sheet in electronic or paper form, or submits the data electronically via the Send shipment, Online Posting applications, or via the API interface.

The post office will confirm the shipment to the sender in the proof of posting. This takes the form of a Postage Slip or Postage Sheet.

The shipment is always transported by priority mail.
Delivery
The shipment will be delivered by the foreign post office only if the recipient confirms receipt.
If the foreign post office is unable to deliver the postal item, it will return it to the sender and indicate on the item the reason why it was not delivered.
Complaints
Complaints regarding delivery of a shipment or failure to fulfill other postal obligations may be filed at any post office within six months of posting. The post office will only accept complaints if the complainant presents the original proof of posting. For contract customers
Česká pošta offers contractual customers:
- a simpler method of payment for shipments, either on the basis of a prior written agreement on cashless payment for postal services or via a franking machine.
- collection of shipments directly from the sender's premises, again on the basis of a prior written agreement.
