Submission

  • The shipment can be submitted at the post office or to an authorized postal worker.
  • The sender's address must be indicated in the upper left quarter, supplemented with the name of the Czech Republic in an internationally recognized language (e.g., Czech Republic, Tschechische Republik, etc.).
  • The sender fills in the pre-printed Postage Slip, Postage Sheet in electronic or paper form, or submits the data electronically via the Send Shipment, Online Submission applications, or via the API interface.
  • The post office will confirm the submission of the shipment to the sender in a proof of posting. This takes the form of a Postage Slip or Postage Sheet.
  • The shipment is always transported by priority mail.
  • When posting, the shipment must be marked with a note or sticker saying "Prioritaire".

Information regarding changes to the delivery of delivery receipts for registered mail sent abroad

In some countries, there have been changes to the delivery of delivery receipts for registered mail. Specifically, this applies to postal operators in Germany, Ireland, and the United Kingdom. Below are links where you can obtain proof of delivery of registered mail to the authorized recipient, which serves as a substitute for a returned or incorrectly filled-out delivery receipt.

Germany / https://www.deutschepost.de/de/s/sendungsverfolgung.html

Ireland / https://www.anpost.com/Post-Parcels/Track/Search

Great Britain / https://www.royalmail.com/track-your-item#/tracking-results

If the delivery receipt is not available on the website, does not contain the required information, or the website is currently down, please file a complaint

Claims

You may file a complaint regarding the delivery of a consignment or the failure of the post office to fulfill another obligation at any post office within six months of mailing. The post office will accept the complaint only if the complainant presents the original receipt. For more information, see Claims.

Alternative services

We recommend sending parcels larger than the maximum permitted size as international Insured parcels. If the sender requires the postal service to transport the parcel abroad as quickly as possible, we recommend sending it as an EMS international parcel

For contract customers

The postal service offers contract customers:

  • a simpler method of paying for shipments, either on the basis of a prior written agreement on cashless payment for postal services or via a franking machine.
  • collection of shipments directly from the sender's premises, again on the basis of a prior written agreement.

If you need more detailed information, please contact the Contact Center or call the customer service line.
