Moravská Nová Ves launched its thousandth post office Partner
Moravská Nová Ves launched its thousandth Partner post office The town of Moravská Nová Ves in the Břeclav region became the thousandth post office Partner in the Czech Republic. The grand opening was attended by Mayor Zuzana Jandáková, Minister of the Interior Vít Rakušan, and Czech Post CEO Miroslav Štěpán.
"Our town hall underwent major reconstruction after the tornado. Today, it houses officials, we provide Czech POINT services, and we have a beautiful ceremonial hall. The Post Office Partner at the town hall is another natural piece of the mosaic that reflects life in our town. And another step in cooperation with Česká pošta," says Mayor Zuzana Jandáková.
"The thousandth post office Partner is a milestone for the entire project, which was launched in 2009 and spent a long time searching for its identity. Today, we can responsibly say that the project makes sense and has found its place both with local governments, which are natural partners for our company, and with businesses. Moravská Nová Ves is exactly the kind of local government where you can see the interest of the town's leadership and citizens in development. I am glad that Partner Post can contribute to the standard of Moravská Nová Ves," says Miroslav Štěpán, CEO of Česká pošta, adding: "The goal is to operate 1,500 Partner Post offices throughout the country. If municipalities are interested in continuing with the conversion of branches, we will not stand in their way."
"I was happy to return to Moravská Nová Ves. After the devastating tornado, it is incredible how the town has managed to cope with the situation. The Partner Post Office, which has the serial number 1000, is in good hands, and I believe that this change will mean that citizens will continue to enjoy a high standard of postal services. I would like to thank everyone who participated and continues to participate not only in the establishment of the local Partner post office, but also in the entire project," says Minister of the Interior Vít Rakušan.
Česká pošta responded immediately after the devastating tornado and began operating a mobile post office in the area on June 28, 2021. Thanks to this, residents did not lose their postal services and did not have to travel to access them. The branch in Moravská Nová Ves was closed for the longest time, with the mobile post office operating there throughout this period until January 2022, when the original post office reopened.
The Pošta Partner project was launched in 2009, when the first branch was opened by the municipality of Boží Dar. In February 2024, the 900th Pošta Partner was opened in the Central Bohemian municipality of Hvožďany. The Pošta Partner in Moravská Nová Ves is number 1000.
Since the beginning of this year, the structure of remuneration from Česká pošta to operators has been adjusted. The fixed part of the remuneration has been increased and the total amount has been raised. With a weekly 15-hour opening time at the Partner post office, the operator can earn an average of CZK 22,000 per month.
Of the 1,000 Partner post offices, 600 are operated by municipalities, 200 by sole traders, 128 by legal entities, and 72 by consumer cooperatives in the COOP association.
