Marek Malček heads the financial services division of Česká pošta

Miroslav Štěpán, CEO of Česká pošta, dismissed Martin Vránek from his position as director of the financial and corporate services division. He was replaced by Marek Malček, the former manager of the customer services department.

"I would like to thank Martin for his work for our company. He has played a part in our successful cooperation with the ČSOB Group," says Miroslav Štěpán, CEO of Česká pošta, adding: "Česká pošta and its financial services division are faced with the task of generating digital alternatives to traditional payment instruments and completing the implementation of new products. I see a great opportunity in the cash services portfolio in particular. This is exactly the area that Česká pošta must focus on in the future. If our slogan is #PoštaSpojuje (Post Connects), we must fulfill the expectations of both conservative clients and those who prefer online communication and payment tools. We cannot limit ourselves to one solution, but must offer a variety of solutions."

Appointed director Marek Malček joined Česká pošta in 2021 as a transformation manager. Before joining the Financial and Corporate Services Division, he was in charge of customer services. He participated in the automation of customer lines and streamlining the work of the Czech Post call center. He gained his previous work experience at companies such as SAP, Microsoft, and the Asseco Group.

"I expect Mark to significantly accelerate the digitization of financial services and the development of new products for Česká pošta, as well as their effective implementation. The digitization of current offline services is not a wish, but a necessity. Mark's task is also to motivate and invigorate the existing team, which will be beneficial for the Post and its customers," says Miroslav Štěpán, CEO of Česká pošta.
