The post office on Olšanská Street will get a new access ramp
The branch in Prague 3 on Olšanská Street will offer its customers greater comfort in the form of improved barrier-free access. After the original ramp was removed in 2021 due to its dilapidated condition, disabled people and parents with prams were able to access the post office thanks to a newly installed elevator.
"Based on our experience and client feedback, we have decided to return to the original model, i.e., the access ramp," says Roman Kořínek, manager of the Czech Post branch network.
Thanks to cooperation with the building authority and the Prague 3 district, Česká pošta has obtained all the necessary permits for the installation of a barrier-free entrance, and a tender for a contractor is currently underway. The ramp is expected to open in the second quarter of this year. The estimated cost of the contract is less than one million crowns.
"Česká pošta has responded to our long-standing request for the return of the access ramp. This will increase the comfort and accessibility of the branch on Olšanská Street and will be suitable for a larger number of users than the current solution. It is clearly a step in the right direction," adds Michal Vronský, mayor of Prague 3.
