Martin Kment is the new director of Balíkovna

One of the top priorities for the new director and the team joining Martin will be to bring Balíkovna into the black. “Our strategy is based on three pillars: improving delivery quality, treating employees with respect, and expanding into international shipping,” adds Martin Kment. He expects Balíkovna’s current business model to undergo major changes and continues: “We want to increase our share of the Czech market and become one of the major players in the Central European region.”

In the past, when he served as director of the logistics services division at Czech Post, the delivery quality rate consistently exceeded 90%. He will certainly want to return to that level of service. “One of my goals is to ensure satisfaction across all aspects of Balíkovna’s operations—for our customers, who expect high-quality service from us; for our employees, whose work should bring them joy and fair compensation; and also for our owner’s representatives, for whom this service sector remains a significant part of citizens’ daily lives,” Kment explains.

Ondřej Škorpil, acting CEO of the parent company Česká pošta, shares this view: “I believe that Martin, as an experienced manager, will be able to reform the business model so that Balíkovna becomes a reliable shipping partner. As the former director of logistics, Martin knows the company’s operations very well; I wish him every success.”

Martin Kment (48) has been working in the supply chain industry for over 20 years. He helped develop Škoda AUTO’s logistics strategy and has worked in Germany, India, Africa, Russia, and Mexico. He has collaborated on projects for BMW, Pilsner Urquell, DHL, Czech Railways, and many others. From 2020 to 2022, he served as director of the logistics services division at Česká pošta. Most recently, he has been developing his investment activities on the Patero platform. He is fluent in English, Russian, and German.
