18 years of Czech POINT
On March 28, 2025, the Czech POINT project will celebrate its 18th birthday. Czech Post is part of this project, which has been significantly helping citizens with official matters since 2007.
The first agendas available through Czech POINT were extracts from the Land Registry and the Commercial Register. Over time, the range of services has expanded to include other extracts, such as the Criminal Register, the Trade Register, and extracts from the driver points system, with more agendas being added gradually. Those interested in a data box can apply for one here. A widely used service is the authorized conversion of documents, i.e., the officially certified conversion of a document from electronic to paper form or vice versa.
Česká pošta currently provides Czech POINT services at 754 branches, which are evenly distributed throughout the Czech Republic. The popularity of these services among Czech Post customers is evidenced by the fact that since 2007, almost 19 million transactions have been carried out at Czech Post contact points. In addition to Czech Post, Czech POINT services are also available at many other locations, such as municipal and city offices, notaries, lawyers, etc.
The Czech Post maintains its dominant position on the market, as illustrated by the fact that it operates 11% of all Czech POINT contact points, which handle more than half of all transactions (53%). Czech Post has an even greater share in agendas related to data boxes, such as submitting applications for the establishment of a data box or for the invalidation of access data to a data box and the issuance of new ones. A total of 80% of all these transactions are carried out at Czech Post branches.
As one of the main providers of Czech POINT services, Česká pošta contributes to more efficient communication with the state administration and helps reduce the administrative burden. The Czech POINT project has become a symbol of the modernization and digitization of public administration in the Czech Republic, making life easier for citizens for eighteen years. We wish Czech POINT many satisfied customers and new useful agendas in the coming years, which will make it easier for people to communicate with the authorities.
