Types of postal stationery

Postal stationery includes postcards, envelopes with printed stamps, postcards with printed stamps, and aerogrammes, which are now obsolete.

Postal postcard - a type of letter mail of specified dimensions (A6 format, dimensions 105 mm x 148 mm) used for shorter messages, a cardboard card with a printed postage stamp

  • Operational - a postcard with a printed stamp, usually in the basic tariff for operational purposes, with a printed space for the sender's address in the upper left part of the address side. The selling price of an operational postcard without VAT is equal to its nominal value, made up of the sum of the nominal value of the printed stamp and the price of the carrier in the amount of 2 CZK/1 pc.
  • Reprint - a postcard with a printed stamp and a free left part intended for reprints. The selling price of a reprint postcard without VAT is equal to its nominal value, made up of the sum of the nominal value of the printed stamp and the price of the carrier in the amount of 3 CZK/1 pc.
  • Occasional - a postcard with a printed stamp (very often issued only for this purpose) and printing in the left address part of the postcard printed simultaneously during production, issued for a specific occasion, anniversary, exhibition or other event. The selling price of an occasional postcard excluding VAT is equal to its nominal value, consisting of the sum of the nominal value of the printed stamp and the price of the carrier in the amount of 8 CZK/1 pc.
  • Picture postcards - postcards with a printed stamp and a picture with motifs of historical architectural monuments of the Czech Republic in the upper left part of the postcard, supplemented by a short description of the depicted monument. Part of the circulation is provided with a promotional stamp (cachet) with the motif of the depicted monument in the lower left part.
  • The selling price of a picture postcard net without VAT is equal to its nominal value, formed by the sum of the nominal value of the printed stamp and the price of the carrier in the amount of 8 CZK/1 pc
  • The selling price of a picture postcard with a cachet imprint without VAT is equal to its nominal value, formed by the sum of the nominal value of the printed stamp and the price of the carrier with a cachet imprint in the amount of 10 CZK/1 pc

Envelope with a printed stamp - a special type of postal stationery for which an envelope of a certain size and quality is used, usually without an insert, exceptionally with printing on the inside

  • clean - only with a printed stamp - used separately, or is intended for making promotional additional prints in the left part The selling price of an envelope with a printed stamp net without VAT is equal to its nominal value, formed by the sum of the nominal value of the printed stamp and the price of the carrier in the amount of 10 CZK/1 pc
  • occasional - issued with a printed stamp (very often issued only for this purpose) and with an image - a print in the left part of the envelope printed simultaneously during production, issued for a certain occasion, anniversary, exhibition or other event The selling price of an envelope with a printed stamp and image, or possibly additional printing, excluding VAT, is equal to its nominal value, formed by the sum of the nominal value of the printed stamp and the price of the carrier in the amount of 10 CZK/1 pc.

Aerogram (service canceled on January 1, 2022) - a special letterhead, a type of airmail letter in international communication for a reduced postage, is made of one sheet of lightweight paper, which is folded and sealed in the indicated way, usually a warning is printed: Another sheet of paper or other object cannot be inserted into the aerogram. The selling price of an aerogramme excluding VAT is equal to its nominal value, consisting of the sum of the nominal value of the printed stamp and the price of the carrier in the amount of 7 CZK/1 pc.
