Sale of revenue stamps
Revenue stamps are stamps used to collect administrative fees due to public authorities or state agencies. Revenue stamps of a different face value have a different colour.

Points of sale
Revenue stamps are available at all post offices authorised to sell revenue stamps. (Sale of revenue stamps is not a compulsory part of the range of services provided by Service Points or Partners).

Price of revenue stamps
Under section 163(4) of the Act No. 280/2009 Coll., the Rules of Tax Procedure, the price of revenue stamps is set by the Regulation No. 383/2010, on revenue stamps, and equals to the face value displayed on each revenue stamp.

Safety features of revenue stamps
Each revenue stamp consists of two parts, divided by perforation, with an adhesive layer on the back side. The top-print picture in the upper part is 26 mm and in the lower part 12.5 mm high; both pictures are 23 mm wide.
The upper-part picture contains the large national emblem of the Czech Republic, figure identifying the face value, the letters "Kč" identifying the Czech currency, the name of the country "Česká republika", and the text "Kolková známka" (Revenue Stamp).
The lower-part picture contains a figure identifying the face value, the letters "Kč" identifying the Czech currency, and the text "Kolková známka" (Revenue Stamp).
Revenue stamps have the following safety features:
- matrix (paper with stylized linden tree leaves with visible fibre, tinted;
- line rasters;
- orange reflective ink;
- original multicolour guilloche;
- negative microletters;
- oval sign in the perforation;
- positive microletters;
- optically variable ink;
- cut original sheet).
Points of sale

Conditions on the exchange and repurchase of revenue stamps
Exchange of damaged revenue stamps
Damaged unused revenue stamps:
- stuck together,
- lacerated,
- soiled,
- uncancelled revenue stamps stuck on documents that have not been submitted.

The above-mentioned revenue stamps can be exchanged or sold back at Czech Post's outlets authorised to exchange or repurchase revenue stamps.
The fee collected for exchange is 10% of the face value of the revenue stamp, inclusive of VAT (according to the current Postal Terms and Conditions of Česká pošta, s.p. - Pricelist).
If you want to exchange revenue stamps, you should produce a request in writing and your identity card. The request should include the amount of revenue stamps, divided into groups by face values, and the total amount of stamps in each group; your name and surname and exact address, and your signature to certify the receipt of the new revenue stamps. Each revenue stamp must have both parts to be exchanged.
Repurchase of undamaged revenue stamps
Undamaged revenue stamps can be sold back at Czech Post's outlets authorised to exchange or repurchase revenue stamps.

The fee collected for exchange is 5% of the face value of the revenue stamp, inclusive of VAT (according to the current Postal Terms and Conditions of Česká pošta, s.p. - Pricelist).
If you want to sell back revenue stamps, you should produce a request in writing and your identity card. The request should include the amount of revenue stamps, divided into groups by face values, and the total amount of stamps in each group; your name and surname and exact address, and your signature to certify the receipt of the payment. Each revenue stamp must have both parts to be exchanged.
You must produce your identity card if you want to exchange revenue stamps.
Neither undamaged nor damaged revenue stamps in the old series will be accepted for exchange or repurchase after 1 January 2012.
