Like in the previous years, Czech Post is again a distributor of highway stickers for 2016. By 1 December 2015, highway stickers for vehicles weighing up to 3.5 tons will be available at all post offices throughout the Czech Republic, except the offices of our contractual partners.
Czech Post received the prestigious Czech Institute of Internal Auditors’ (CIIA) certification confirming that the internal audit process setting and working comply with the applicable International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing. The CIIA also confirmed that the activities of Czech Post’s Internal Audit comply with the Code of Ethics of the Institute of Internal Auditors.
A new commemorative postage stamp titled Tribute to Sir Nicholas was introduced by Czech Post to the public at the main post office in Jindřišská street in Prague on Wednesday, 02 September 2015. The stamp designed by Czech graphic artist, painter and illustrator Zdeněk Netopil is the first stamp in the world issued as a tribute to the man who saved 669 Jewish children from transportation. About 6 thousand people owe their life to him today.
Czech Post decided to support the worldwide postcrossing movement by issuing their official postage stamp. It came out last week and philatelists as well as other customers could buy it, e.g. at the postcrossers’ meeting at the Collector 2015 fair held on the exhibition grounds in Prague-Letňany on Saturday, 05 September.
