Description

You can use Insured Parcel for mailing money, precious metals and stones and products made out of them, jewellery and similar valuables, securities, traveller cheques, bearer cheques, bills of exchange, payment cards, gift vouchers as well as other valuables. The maximum compensation payable by the Czech Post is the declared value (maximum CZK 1,000,000). Once posted, Insured Parcels are tracked&traced by the Czech Post T&T system.

If you choose this additional service, the addressee will receive an SMS or email alert with information on the status of arrival.

Delivery Alert

If you choose this additional service, the sender will receive an SMS or email alert with information on the status of delivery.

The prices for this basic postal service up to the weight limit of 10 kg and relating additional services and surcharges are exempt from VAT.

Certificate of Delivery The sender will get a written confirmation of delivery of the item to the recipient.	CZK 30
Cash on delivery (C.O.D.) The C.O.D. amount, given by the sender, will be collected from the recipient on delivery of the item and paid to the sender or to a person designated by the sender in cash or by bank transfer to a bank account specified by the sender.	CZK 14
Delivery to the Addressee Only The item will be delivered: - in case of items addressed to individuals, only to the addressee, a person authorised by the addressee, a legal representative of the addressee, or a person authorised by the addressee's legal representative; - in case of items addressed to legal persons, to the addressee's authorised person only. Delivery to the Addressee in Person Only In case of items addressed to individuals, the sender may order delivery to the addressee in person only.	CZK 24

Payment

In cash on posting, with postage stamps, contractual customers also by franking machine, by direct debit or bank transfer. Do not stick postage stamps on the envelope but give them over to the postal personnel on posting.

Posting

• You can post your Insured Parcel at a post office or with authorised postal personnel anywhere.
• Mark the declared value (maximum CZK 1,000,000) on your Insured Parcel.
• If your parcel weighs more than 15kg, make it up to facilitate safe and easy handling by two persons.
• If the declared value of your parcel exceeds CZK 30,000 or if your parcel contains valuables valued at more than CZK 10,000, use special package (obligatory).

Delivery

• Your Insured Parcel will be delivered to the recipient only against certificate of delivery.
• You can get information on delivery of your Insured Parcel by using our online Track&Trace service .
• Delivery information are available the day next to the posting.
