My Own Stamps - description

On 20 June 2012, Czech Post issued three self-adhesive definitive stamps designed as layout models (specimen stamps) for My Own Stamps, personalised stamps ordered by private customers in the form of print sheets. A test run of this new product was finished in mid-2013 and on 1 July 2013 it became a standard product. Czech Post enhanced its range of personalised products to include My Own Stamps printed in the form of stamp booklets and used this new version to release 4 self-adhesive definitive stamps, 04 September 2013.

What are My Own Stamps?

My Own Stamps (“MOS”) are stamps identified with a letter which have a picture part reserved for any personalised motif or company logo specified by the customer.

My Own Stamps come out as personalised definitive stamps identified with a letter (with the possibility of reprint) and can be used as evidence of payment for postal services provided by Czech Post. MOSs are printed on a sheet of self-adhesive paper, each print sheet (“PS”) containing 25 stamps, or in a stamp booklet (“SB”) of 8 stamps.

My Own Stamps are classified into three categories. The first two key categories are MOSs issued by Czech Post for its own purposes (published centrally by the main headquarters or locally by regional headquarters) and MOSs for private customers issued by Czech Post based on customer orders. Specimen MOSs issued and approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic are the third, specific category.

Each My Own Stamp consists of a fixed defined part containing obligatory attributes, i.e. (i) the name of the country Czech Republic; (ii) a microline with the text “CZECH POST • MY OWN STAMP”, (iii) a letter identifying the face value of the stamp, e.g. “A” corresponding to the current price of the domestic service Ordinary Letter - Standard up to 50 g, or “E” corresponding to the current price of the international priority service International Ordinary Mail up to 50 g to European countries, and (iv) an own area for the personalised motif which has to include the year of issue of the MOS. The customer may order print sheets or stamp booklets containing a combination of stamps with different face values.

The price of a single print sheet with My Own Stamps is the sum of the face values of the stamps in the PS or SB (excl. of VAT) and the price of personalisation of a single PS or SB (incl. of VAT) in relation to the ordered quantity and number of used MOSs (see the Pricelist below).

The minimum volume of My Own Stamps is 600 identical A4 print sheets (“PS”). Each PS contains 25 stamps and printed marginal fields. The stamps in the PS can have the same or a different motif and vertical or horizontal orientation. The stamps sized 23 x 30 mm with vertical or horizontal orientation are printed using full-colour offset printing and can have a face value identified with the letter A or E (see the specimens below). They are always accompanied with security features.

The minimum volume of My Own Stamps is 1,900 identical stamp booklets (“SB”). Each SB contains 8 stamps and printed front and back sides. The stamps in the SB can have the same or a different motif and vertical or horizontal orientation.

The stamps sized 50 x 29 mm with vertical or horizontal orientation are printed using full-colour offset printing and can have a face value identified with the letter A or E (see the specimens below). They are always accompanied with security features.

A database of all issued My Own Stamps is available on our website; each customer will get a chance to have their contact details and sales information for prospective buyers published there.
