Sale of highway stickers for 2012 has already started at all post offices. The time validity of these 1-year stickers starts on 1 December 2012 and ends on 31 January 2013.

The price of highway stickers for 2012 is changed as follows: 1-year stickers cost CZK 1,500, 1-month stickers CZK 440 and 10-day stickers CZK 310 each.

 

1-month stickers are valid from the day indicated on the sticker until the end of the identically numbered day of the following month or, should there be no such day in the following month, until the end of the last day of the following month. For instance, a 1-month sticker with 13.5.2012 as the indicated day of beginning of validity expires on 13.6.2012. A 1-month sticker with 30.1.2012 as the indicated day of beginning of validity expires on 29.2.2012.

10-day stickers are valid from the day indicated on the sticker until the end of the tenth calendar day thereafter. For instance, a 10-day sticker with 13.5.2012 as the indicated day of beginning of validity expires on 22.5.2012.

The Czech Post offers its customers a 100 percent certainty that they will not buy a fake sticker.

Highway stickers have a range of safety features. The key one, which will let the customer know if the sticker is genuine, is located at the bottom margin of the first and second parts. It is a feature printed in an optically variable ink; the ink displays two colours (pink and green) depending on the angle the sticker is viewed at. Partially overlapping this safety feature is a holographic film.
