European Animals with their Young
Miniature sheet dedicated to European animals with their young follows the previous sheet featuring native Czech species. The chamois ceased to be a native species after the division of Czechoslovakia – so did the marmot. The flying squirrel is native to the forests of northern Europe; the genet (Genetta genetta) inhabits those of southern Europe. Dolphins can be seen along the coasts of the Mediterranean and the Black Sea, while spotting the elusive Mediterranean monk seal on small islands is a rare miracle.
