International Registered Mail

Use International Registered Mail for reliably mailing documents, small things and other merchandise, with compensation from posting to delivery.
New
This change will bring you a lot of benefits:
- Electronic data transfer - you can now post your mail with posting details provided on a USB disc or (contractual partners only) online via the PostingOnline application on our website.
- Online Track&Trace - you can trace your consignment online via the Track&Trace application on our website to check whether the addressee has already received it. Contractual partners can also arrange for receiving regular daily reports on the status of posted mail.
- Simpler and faster posting, delivery, handover, return (if necessary) of mail.
- Cut administrative burden - barcoded mail has many benefits - you can use this service to reduce your administrative burden.
- Simpler complaint handling (if necessary).
- New versions of classic paper forms - Never mind if you cannot use the electronic data transfer option. There are new versions of paper forms waiting for you. Everyone can choose the right one.
Description
International Registered Mail meets the needs of private or business users mailing actual documents and private correspondence as well as other things abroad.

| Cash on Delivery (Remboursement) The C.O.D. amount, given by the sender, will be collected from the recipient on delivery of the item by the foreign postal operator and paid to the sender in the Czech currency or, if the Sender wishes so, by bank transfer to an account maintained by any of the Czech banks and specified by the sender.Mark your item with the note or label "Remboursement" plus the C.O.D. amount. Payment
With postage stamps, in cash at post offices or to authorised postal staff, contractual customers also by direct debit or franking machine.
Posting
- You can post your International Registered Mail at any post office or by handing it over to authorised postal staff.
- Mark the sender's address, complete with the name of the Czech Republic in an internationally known language (e.g. Czech Republic, Tschechische Republik, etc.), in the left upper quarter of your item.
- You will get a certificate of posting in the form of Posting Form or Bulk Posting Form.
Priority
- Priority items enjoy priority over the other items mailed as International Registered Mail to a foreign place of destination.
- All items sent as International Registered Mail to European countries are carried as priority mail.
- Mark your item with the note "Prioritní" ("Priority") or with the "Prioritaire" label or ask the personnel on posting to have your item sent as priority mail.
Non-priority
- You can send your International Registered Mail at an economical price to non-European countries. Your item will not be carried to the destination country in the fastest possible way and the other priority items will have priority of carriage.
- No compensation is paid for delayed items.
Packaging
- Use an inside and outside package adequate to the nature and weight of the contained things, manner and duration of relocation of the item and the manner of its handling during transmission and delivery.
What you cannot post
- International Registered Mail may not contain things whose nature or package could impose risk on postal personnel or other people or soil or damaged other items. No valuables can be posted as International Registered Mail, either.
- You can get information on concrete things which are not permitted as International Registered Mail by sending us an email at info@cpost.cz.
Delivery
International Registered Mail will be delivered by the foreign postal operator only against certificate of delivery.
If your item cannot be delivered by the foreign postal operator, you will, without any useless delay, get it back with a note describing the reason why it could not be delivered.
Complaints
If your item is not delivered or if any other duty of the postal operator is breached, you may complain six months from the day of posting. Your complaint will be accepted only if you can produce the original copy of the certificate of posting.
