I am not an expert on these issues - what is a USB token?
A USB token is a tiny device similar to a USB memory and used for safe storage of a private key and certificate. Safe storage means that the only person who can access the stored private key is the user using a software necessary for communication with the token and a special code (PIN) for access to the private key. This device also blocks any attempt at copying the private key from the token if lost by the holder. Nor is it possible to obtain the key from the computer used by the user to log on into the system. The combination of a USB token and certificate is beyond doubt one of the safest authorisation and authentication methods.
