Data Mailboxes
If you need to file an application or notification form related to the Data Mailbox Information System, why not use the Czech POINT system. Just ask the clerk at any post office counter marked with the Czech POINT logo for any of the following services. The clerk will ask you for your identity card, complete the electronic application or notification form, print it and ask you to check and sign it.
Application to set up a data mailbox
Your data mailbox will be set up in three days after acceptance of your application by the Data Mailbox Information System. Refused applications will be sent to the Ministry of the Interior for decision.
Application to invalidate old and validate new data mailbox access details
You can apply for invalidation of lost or stolen access details to your mailbox and validation of new ones.
The old access details will be invalidated with immediate effect, and an email will be sent automatically to the activation portal for generation of new access details.
Appointment of person authorised to access data mailbox
You can designate a person authorised to access and operate your mailbox according to the authorisation instructions.
Applicants acting on behalf of a legal entity or public authority have to produce a certificate of their power to do the act (certificate of incorporation, power of attorney, etc.).
The designated person will receive a letter with the mailbox access details. The letter will be delivered to the addressee only.
Notification of invalidation of an authorised person's access details (cancellation of appointment)
You can invalidate the access details of any person you have authorised to access your mailbox.
The system will send an invalidation notice both to the authorised person whose access details have been invalidated and to the applicant.
Application to temporarily disable data mailbox (for mailboxes set up on request)
Mailboxes set up on request can be temporarily disabled.
Your mailbox will be disabled at the latest by the third working day after application.
The mailbox can be enabled again on request.
Application to enable data mailbox (for mailboxes set up on request)
Temporarily disabled mailboxes set up on request can be enabled again.
Your mailbox will be enabled in three working days after application.
Mailboxes disabled twice in the past year on request must wait at least one year after the last disabling before they can be enabled again.
Application to grant the official status of a public authority's data mailbox
Mailboxes of individuals or legal entities acting as a public authority can be granted the official status of a 'public authority's data mailbox'. As such they can be used with all options available for this type of mailboxes.
The applicant must produce a certificate of their status as a public authority.
The application will be sent for decision to the Ministry of the Interior.
Application to end the official status of a public authority's data mailbox
Individuals or legal entities that have lost the competence to act as a public authority must immediately notify the Ministry of the Interior and ask for ending the official status of their mailbox(es).
The application will be sent for decision to the Ministry of the Interior.
Notification of invalidation of access details of a statutory body or senior officer of public authorities
Public authorities can deny access (invalidate access details) to their mailbox(es) to any of their statutory bodies - legal entities or senior officers.
A single form can be used to apply for either of the following services:-
- Cancellation of an authorised person's appointment
- Cancellation of an authorised person's appointment & Appointment of a new authorised person
Notification of permission to deliver documents from a data mailbox (granted to a legal entity/entrepreneur/individual using the mailbox)
You can use this service to take advantage of the possibility to use your data mailbox to deliver documents as a legal entity/entrepreneur/individual.
Only invoices and similar requests to pay are accepted for communication until June 30th, 2010.
Starting from July 1st, 2010 there will be no restrictions on the content of the communicated messages.
Notification of cancellation of the permission to deliver documents from a data mailbox (granted to a legal entity/entrepreneur/individual using the mailbox)
You can use this service to notify your partners that you will no longer be delivering documents from the notified data mailbox as a legal entity/entrepreneur/individual.
Pricing
Services related to the Data Mailbox Information System are free of charge. The only exception are repeat grants of mailbox access details within a 3 years' period, costing CZK 200 each.
