Description

The Czech POINT scheme allows easy access to the public administration. By visiting any of the contact points in the Czech POINT network you can quickly and comfortably get certified extracts from a number of public and non-public registers of the public administration or file forms required to obtain or change you trade licenses.

The family of Czech POINT services has been growing fast. The following services are now available at any post office (List of Post offices providing Czech POINT services (xls, 794 kB) Only the Czech version of the page is available) with the Czech POINT logo:

Benefits

Czech POINT saves your time and energy spent visiting public authorities. Post offices also have longer opening hours compared to the relevant office hours. Some are open on Saturdays, or even Sundays.

Once you are there, you can not only get the excerpts you need but also pay bills or pick up deposited mail.

Parameters

Extract from the Land Register

Extracts from this public register are available without identity proof of the customers. You can order either a full or a partial copy of the certificate of title.

Details required for an extract include: cadastral area. Other options are: ownership folio number, land plot number, building registration number, housing unit number.

Extract from the Commercial Register
Extract from the Trades Register
Extract from the Register of Qualified Contractors

Extracts from these public registers are available without identity proof of the customers.

Details required for an extract include: identification number of the registered person.

Extract from the Insolvency Register

Extracts from this public register certify whether a person is on record as an insolvency debtor. Extracts of persons recorded as insolvency debtors contain details of the current status of the insolvency proceedings.

Details required for an extract include:

  • identification number of legal persons, or
  • personal number of individuals.

Extract from the Criminal Register
Extract from the Driver Register

Subject to the Information Systems of the Public Administration Act, extracts from these non-public registers are available only to the registered persons themselves or their proxies (holders of an authenticated power of attorney).

The customer must produce one of the following identity proofs to obtain an extract:
  • valid identity card, or
  • valid passport, or
  • alien residential card.
Proxy holders must produce the following documents:
  • authenticated power of attorney (in the Czech language), and
  • valid identity proof.

You can also produce the registered person's driver card to speed up the identification process and get the extract from the Driver Register fast.

Forms Filed under the Trade Act

You can file your forms in either of the following ways:

1. As physical documents
Use one of the following portals to download the uniform registration form: Agrarian Chamber of the CR  (only the Czech version of the page is available) or Ministry of Industry and Trade of the CR. Bring the filled form with you to the contact point.

2.      Electronic filing
Fill out and submit the uniform registration form online on the following portal: Agrarian Chamber of the CR (only the Czech version of the page is available). You will get a confirmation email with your identification ticket number. State the number at the contact point to get a confirmation of your filing.

Electronic filing is simpler to use and saves your time.

You will have to produce the following documents to get a confirmation of filing:

  • valid identity card, or valid passport, or alien residential card; and
  • a copy of the filled uniform registration form (for individuals or legal persons), or the identification ticket number (if you have used the electronic filing application on the portal of the Agrarian Chamber of the CR only the Czech version of the page is available); and
  • the original or a certified copy of all required annexes (e.g. certificate of apprenticeship, certificate of requalification).

Authorised Conversion of Documents

Complete conversion of paper documents into electronic documents or complete conversion of electronic documents into paper documents. The document produced by conversion has legal effects equal to those of an authenticated copy of the original converted document.
Conversion of paper into electronic documents - the customer brings the paper document to be converted and selects the output format, i.e. electronic file saved on a CD (provided free of charge) or sent to a converted data storage facility for future downloading by the customer.
Conversion of electronic into paper documents - the customer either brings the electronic document saved on a CD or DVD or sends it by email to a data storage facility. In the latter case the customer has to bring a certificate of entering the document into the data storage facility for the purposes of conversion.

The following documents cannot be converted:
  • documents in a form other than paper document or email message,
  • paper documents whose authenticity cannot be reproduced by a converted document (such as identity card, passport, driver's license),
  • paper documents containing changes that could diminish their authenticity,
  • paper documents without clear evidence of whether they are an original document, authenticated copy, full or partial copy of a document on file, duplicate copy of a decision made in writing or the statement of a decision issued according to special legislation, 
  • paper documents bearing an embossed text or seal,
  • electronic documents without a recognized electronic signature or electronic sign of the person who issued or created the document,
  • electronic documents that cannot be converted into paper documents, such as audio or audiovisual records,
  • electronic documents containing a harmful code able to cause damage to the information system of the convertor or to the information processed by the convertor,
  • paper documents that can cause damage to the scanning device or become damaged by the conversion,
  • electronic documents in a format lower than PDF 1.3.

How can I file an application for the creation of a data mailbox?

An application for the creation of a data mailbox can be filed at any Czech POINT counter. You will have to produce your identity card. The clerk will complete and print the electronic application form to be signed by you.
The mailbox will be created in three days. The access details will be sent to you by post.


How can I file an application for access details invalidation and activation of new access details?

If your mailbox access details are lost or stolen, you may ask for their invalidation and for activation of new ones. You will have to produce your identity card. The clerk will complete and print the electronic application form to be signed by you. The existing access details will be immediately disabled and an email message will be automatically sent to the activation portal that will generate new access details.
