New postcards: Dobøí¹ Chateau, an astronaut, a mail coach

The Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade is expected to issue three new postcards on September 15, 2010.

Commemorative postcard "National Stamp Exhibition, Dobøí¹ 2010"

The National Stamp Exhibition, Dobøí¹ 2010 postcard, with prepaid A-stamp featuring a motif from Alfons Mucha's poster '20th Exhibition Salon des Cent', commemorates the national stamp exhibition held under the patronage of the Czech Philatelic Union Prague in the chateau at Dobøí¹ on September 16-19, 2010.

The graphic designers of the entire postcard are L. Krejèík and O. Po¹murný.

The selling price of the commemorative postcard, valid from September 15th, 2010 until further notice, is CZK 15.

Commemorative postcard
The A-stamp in the right upper margin of the rear side of the postcard features a motif from Alfons Mucha's poster '20th Exhibition Salon des Cent'. An A-stamp can be used to mail an Ordinary Letter - Standard up to 50g in domestic service (the service is charged according to the valid Price List - Basic Postal Services, the current price being CZK 10). The left part of the rear side contains a picture of the chateau at Dobøí¹ as the exhibition venue, and the chateau owners, Colloredo-Mannsfelds coat of arms (below). Next to the coat of arms are details about the exhibition organizers, patron and time (left) and the information that the Dobøí¹ chateau is owned by the Colloredo-Mannsfelds, 1630-2010 (right).

 

Commemorative postcard "International Astronautic Congress IAC 2010"

The International Astronautic Congress IAC 2010 postcard, with prepaid A-stamp featuring the night sky with a comet and stars, commemorates the 61st International Astronautic Congress IAC 2010. The congress, organized by the Czech Republic after 33 years, will take place in Prague's Congress Centre on September 27-October 1st, 2010.

The graphic designers of the postcard are J. Cacka and P. Sivko. .

The selling price of the commemorative postcard, valid from September 15th, 2010 until further notice, is CZK 15.

The A-stamp in the right upper margin of the rear side of the postcard features the night sky with a comet and stars. An A-stamp can be used to mail an Ordinary Letter - Standard up to 50g in domestic service (the service is charged according to the valid Price List - Basic Postal Services, the current price being CZK 10). The left part of the rear side contains the name of the congress (Czech and English), time and venue. The central image is an astronaut wearing a space suit and holding the Czech flag in his right hand; the helmet visor reflects Prague Castle. The image is accompanied with the text 'IAC 2010 PRAGUE'.

 

Postcard for additional prints, with prepaid E-stamp "Historical Mail Coach"

The stamp features a mail coach standing on Charles Bridge.

The stamp's author is the graphic designer and engraver Josef Herèík; the stamp's graphic designer is engraver Bedøich Housa.

The selling price of the commemorative postcard, valid from September 15th, 2010 until further notice, is CZK 21.

An E-stamp can be used to mail a Priority Ordinary Item up to 20g in European service. The service is charged according to the valid Price List - Basic Postal Services, the current price being CZK 20.

 


All postcards were printed by Po¹tovní tiskárna cenin Praha, a.s. (PTC) using the colour offset printing method. The hologram below the Czech Post logotype is used as a security feature. The microtext on the microline below the stamp reads Czech Post, PTC, 2010.
