The Olympics and the Expo on Czech stamps

The Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games and the Shanghai 2010 World Expo are the two major international events attracting global attention this year: the former in the sporting area, the latter in the area of economics and culture.

The Czech Post understands the importance of and promotes these international events by designing the present February issue of three new stamps coming out on February 2nd, 2010.

The Olympic couple of stamps with a face value of CZK 18 are:

	"The XXI Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver 2010" featuring a fast skier in movement and the Olympic circles, and
	"The Winter Paralympic Games in Vancouver 2010" featuring a couple of downhill skiers, the so-called tracer using a radio transmitter or voice commands to navigate the handicapped racer behind, and the Czech Paralympic Team logo.

The third February stamp with a face value of CZK 35, featuring the exhibition pavilion with the Czech presentation, is part of the commemorative sheet "The General World Exhibition EXPO 2010 in Shanghai".
